Travel agents are playing a critical role in the travel industry right now. They are a reliable source of information and a more than welcome support for the exhausted traveller, especially with affluent travellers. More and more travellers indicate thatthey will use a travel organizer to arrange and customize their next trip instead of doing it themselves.

NWT Tourism is excited to announce a partnership with Tansi Tourism Solutions to provide free training to NWT Tourism members on November 2nd and 3rd 2021. Tansi Tourism Solutions has over 30 years of practical hands-on experience in the travel industry and have worked with a wide variety of northern based businesses. They understand struggles like remote locations, seasonal nature of businesses, skills shortage and training gaps and how these post significant challenges to the NWT. Tansi will provide training sessions which will allow you to further develop, plan, package and price your product. These skills will be vital to the recovery and revitalization of tourism in the NWT and we encourage members to attend.

Over the course two days, there will be two 40-minute sessions. See the schedule below for more information on the two sessions.

NWT Tourism is also happy to provide 10 one-hour sessions with Tansi for a tailored one-on-one consultation to help make best use of the information given out during these sessions and how they can be allowed within their specific setting and circumstance. These will be given to members on a first come-first serve basis so don’t wait!

What importance should you place on each category and how best can you reach them. An overview of the concepts of Retail vs Net Travel Agent vs Wholesale Prices, as well as the concepts of Block Space, Vouchers, Release Dates, Commissions, Payment Terms, are all covered in this session.


“Zoom Meetings with a Potential Buyer – Making the Most of your 20-30 Minutes”
How to Plan, Structure and Deliver your Content for Maximum Effect
A 30-40 minutes session on how to be strategic in delivering a hard-hitting targeted message to a potential buyer. The session focuses on identifying the importance of a potential buyer, listening skills, planning your message content, structuring the delivery, how to direct the conversation and follow up for the greatest chance of success. This is important to attend if you have sales calls or attend trade shows like Rendez-vous Canada.
